I just noticed that we’re having site issues here on the main page.
For some inexplicable reason the posts have all gone save for one – but I shall get to the bottom of this so that all posts remain on the home page.
This just in about Minka’s new show!
“Friday Night Lights” star Minka Kelly bringing sexy self to Oliver Hill Building.

AdvertisementThe Executive Mansion and the second floor of the Oliver W. Hill Building on Capitol Square are all preparing for their close-ups this week when CBS begins filming its new pilot, “Body Politic.”
Though it may sound like a hotbed of bureaucratic drudgery, the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, on the second floor of the Hill Building, will see most of the action — even the women’s bathroom is anticipated as a potential set. Filming is scheduled for Friday afternoon. [Style Weekly]
If the taping draws a clot of chino-clad slackjaws, the show’s star and quite the looker, Minka Kelly, may be the cause. The “Friday Night Lights” actress will lead the CW drama as Hope, who joins the staff of her estranged father, a senator just tapped to assume the role of Attorney General.
Minka’s new CQ pilot “Body Politics” is getting some additional faces in the form of:
Gabrielle Union, Jay Hernandez & Brian Austin Green
This is shaping up to look like a great show! I really hope it gets the green light because I am intrigued!
Minka along with some of Hollywood’s finest are in Vanity Fair reenacting one of the most classic films of all time, West Side Story, Minka is one of the girl’s on The Sharks’ side. The pictorial also features Camilla Belle (10,000 B.C.), Ben Barnes (The Chronicles of Narnia), Robert Pattison (Twilight), Rodrigo Santoro, Jennifer Lopez, Jay Hernandez, Chris Evans and more.
The Hollywood Reporter (THR) writes that:
Minka Kelly is going to Washington.
The “Friday Night Lights” star has been tapped as the lead of the CW’s drama pilot “Body Politic.”
She is joined by an alum from another critically praised but low-rated series, “Veronica Mars’ ” Jason Dohring, who has also been cast in the pilot.
“Body Politic,” from CBS Par, is a look at Washington politics through the eyes of optimistic up-and-coming staffers.
Kelly will play Hope, an all-American girl who leaves her life in Michigan after the death of her mother and heads to D.C., where her long-lost dad, Sen. Webster (Tim Matheson), has just been appointed Attorney General, and takes a job on his staff.
Dohring will play a reporter with the Washington Post.
For the “FNL” fans whose hearts started racing, Kelly’s new gig is not an sign that “FNL” is not coming back. Negotiations between NBC and DirecTV are still going on, and insiders are optimistic that the show will return for a fourth season.
But given the fact that Kelly’s character on the show, Lyla, graduated from high school this season and is off to college, she is not going to be a regular next season but will return for a multiepisode arc if “FNL” clinches a fourth-season pickup.
The series’ producers used a similar tactic for Gaius Charles and Scott Porter, regulars on the first two seasons, who were brought back for four episodes each this season to wrap up their characters’ stories post-high school.
Congrats to Minka! I hope her new show does well, I just think her addition to Melrose Place would have been better.
